I agree, Gavcin, that this episode didn't hang together well, and seems a victim of dodgy editing. We didn't see what prompted Lee and Alex to be so annoyed with Lucinda, and we didn't see any reason for SAS to take umbrage against Raef. This makes both of these decisions seem irrational.

I think the best way to predict a winner, and therefore the losers, is to look at previous winners. All have had the common touch (even the posh chap last year), none appeared to have ideas above their station (humble), and all could speak fluently, putting clients and SAS at ease.

This unfortunately would knock out Raef, as I think SAS saw his sartorial elegance as an affectation. He likes Michael, but doesn't trust him - he's too rough. He would use Lucinda as a consultant, but not on the payroll. Lee also has qualities, but has baggage. I think he'd liken Claire to "The Badger" albeit with different skills, and Alex is similar to Tim.

I reckon SAS pictures Alex as his Aprentice, if only he'd comb his hair and have a shave.

Bev

I'm glad that it's not just me who thinks that Alex and Raef both need a good shave! Still, if you owned a hat shop you could do worse than hire Alex and Lucinda!

Wendy

I didn't like Raef in the first two programmes and I was just beginning to think that underneath it all he was a pretty honourable guy!

But now we'll never know!

Ted

I am at the point of not caring who wins as none of them seem to be worth £100k. They all have too many glaring weak points and not enough redeeming factors as far as I can see.

Still, maybe it is all the way they have been "cut" and one of them will step up and prove their worth over the next few weeks... (I'm not holding my breath!).

Hi Gavin,
I am really disappointed with the quality of the applicants in this series, they seem more small minded than previously and not learnt from previous series. Lee was awful as a presenter and I agree with your comments about presenting.
Who do I want to win? Probably one of Lee, Lucinda or Claire.

I agree - Michael should be long gone. I'm not sure that we've seen the best of Raef. I suspect that he is considered pretentious by Alan Sugar and it may just be that Alan doesn't feel comfortable with Raef.

As to a potential winner, there's little to choose from. I like Lee and he seems to have his feet on the ground - but can he do more than sell?

Lucinda is coming out looking stronger but she can't sell.

Claire seems to be the most rounded and, therefore, has my bet.
